- Fixed map crash when you start Victoria 2 for the first time. And there I was thinking it was something wrong with something on my end which caused that first time round. Paradox are releasing a patch for a game from 2010 because they didn't feel it was quite right. Great company.

I hope V3 comes with a stellaris converter that lets you start in the "machine age" like that cool primitive planet.

Jesus Christ I'm so happy the crisis fizzling bug is finally going to be fixed. I like Victoria 2 a lot, but it's just not right if it doesn't end with the world in flames and all those confident empires of progress lying in ruins.

Clicked link, discovered that Paradox finally let you link Steam accounts (also that the forums look a lot nicer now). Forgot to actually read dev diary.

Well, poo poo. If I'd known they were going to push a patch I would have asked them to change the top produced/imported/exported goods rankings to order by total value rather than raw units. Too late now? ( election events, crises )

I've not played much V2 in awhile so it'll be neat to go back to it with a few last improvements and tweaks

You know how you can stop available decisions from popping up a notification in EU4 if you don't wanna take it? Yeah, that would be amazing in V2. Might be too much effort though Say I don't wanna enact Trail of Tears, e.g., but am bombarded with a lit up icon, stopping me from noticing when another decision's available. Also the form Yugoslavia diplomatically decision's broken. If you sphere every requisite country then they all get the option to take the decision too, suddenly freeing themselves from your sphere and instantly annexing all your other sphered countries. And since Yugoslavia now exists, you can no longer take the decision yourself. (The one to do it militarily is fine, if memory serves.) Oh, and some way to expand naval bases easily would be great. You have to hunt them down on the map at the moment and that's extremely tedious, even with the naval map mode. And it quickly becomes not worthy of the effort if you start colonising Oceania. A page in the ledger to expand them from there would be perfect... Allyn fucked around with this message at 18:53 on Dec 19, 2015 |

Try managing the British Empire some time. On that note, nationwide upgrades would be super handy for naval bases too. What else? The population density map mode is sort of useless. And also not a population density map mode, but there's no fixing that. It'd be more useful, I think, if it was on a fixed (not relative), logarithmic scale with... a dozen? Twenty? Discrete steps. The way it is now you've got a handful of tiny red stars lost in an indeterminate sea of green. Something like this, maybe? Greens are a bit close together.
