So the space marines are used to invade planets from space navy ships? What about when they need to attack an island in the middle of an ocean? Do the space marines have a navy? The space marine navy needs the ability to conduct amphibious assaults. Does the space marine navy have marines? These marines needs to be able to operate as an independent force with their own chain of command so obviously they need air support. Of course then the space navy's space army's navy's air force needs its own means of orbital support... What I'm saying is the future is going to be amazing for defense contractors.

The deputy commander reminded his soldiers they were all “responsible for bringing an end to sexual assault and harassment,” according to the brigade’s Facebook account. Being in ROTC, band, and sports you got a lot more group prayer though, so I was just exposed to it a lot, and I didn't want to be rude; it was definitely kinda obnoxious but I learned through exposure that religion and prayer was mostly well-wishing and not passing my eternal soul unto Lucifer, so I let it go.

The Lord's Prayer was a thing each morning in homeroom, and I DIDN'T KNOW THE WORDS, so being 9, you lip-synch along so as not to be the freak. Then when I learned the prayer, I recall in order not to feel like a total hypocrite I had to make a mental deal with God that went like this: "God, if you are there, you know I'm an atheist, that's what my folks believe and they're the smartest people I know. Cut me some slack, eh? I'll figure things out more maybe when I grow up. The end." My friends felt so bad for me straight ticketed to hell for ETERNITY, they tried to invite me to their churches...you know how that goes. the poo poo kids go through that nobody knows

"anyone who has ever done anything bad, raise your hand..." i raised my hand. i was 10, and 10 year olds do dumb poo poo and i was self aware enough even at 10 to know that. and then he finished what he was saying. "... if you think you are going to hell." he told my cousin, who in turn told my aunt, who in turn made me have a sit down with pastor baker. pastor baker is one of the main reasons i am not religious. What is the preoccupation here with poo poo that happens on college campuses where none of us attend? Those stories are outrage filler pointing out how stupid college students are, something you can ddiscern from talking to one. That said does anyone here know anything about CISA? Yeah when it's something actually newsworthy, like the Duke lacrosse boondoggle, the UVA rape thing, or the "trigger warning"/safe space bullshit making its way into the classroom, then it's worth getting fired up about. The rest of them basically boil down to "18-22 year olds/college students are idiots, news at 11." I don't know enough about CISA yet to have an informed opinion but the fact that Ron Wyden is losing his poo poo over it while Dianne Feinstein was one of the bill's sponsors doesn't exactly fill me with optimism that it isn't a steaming pile of poo poo

Hillary doesn't give a gently caress in this debate. She stayed back stage after the commercial, then walked out while Bernie was answering a question, pulled her mic down, and said, smiling, "Sorry." and ends her closing statement with, "May the force be with you." This one's pretty good. tl;dr - SEALs join the ALP they're "advising" in torturing and beating a detainee to death, NCIS substantiates the claims, O-5 in country sends them back to VA to face charges.......at which point their O-6 decides to not bring any sort of felony manslaughter or assault charges, only failure to report the ALP's abuse and decides this is an appropriate matter for Mast (as opposed to, I don't know, an Art 32 hearing and a GCM) where he dismisses the one charge and issues non-punitive letters of instruction. Everyone involved is still a SEAL. Go go post-9/11 SOF accountability!!!
