I've been relistening to some super old eps, and yeah, I really prefer old, goofy Portaxx to "Hates everything" Portaxx. I don't really feel there's much humor in just bein mad at people being dumb.

Having just listened to the Mars colonization ep literally yesterday, yeah no it owns, and Portaxx getting SO MAD at all of the doofuses drawing fanart of the Mars colony is so great.

It is kinda weird how often Portaxx gets called out for her "righteous indignation" when Lemon also frequently gets legit mad at people but nobody cares. The fact is Portaxx plays up her anger a lot. It's part of her schtick. Just like Bunny Bread has his ladies man schtick, Jack Chick has his rock music schtick, Acierocolotl has his clueless about pop culture schtick, and STOG has his... something. Please try not to read too much into it.

Honestly I don't like it when anyone does the angry thing. It just seems like Portaxx is more prone to do just that sometimes, instead of a variety of gags. She's great in this recent ep, so that's nice.
