Some of my friends who play in various Danish hardcore bands have this little side project going called WOLF PACK that has just released its second single: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCd6OV_fNMk Everything is very firmly tongue in cheek - they're basically trying to include every tough guy 'core cliche in the book. Crazy poo poo. Hope she and the baby make it through okay. This isn't even the first time he's had to rush back due to an emergency halfway through a tour. She was the victim of a break in and got roughed up pretty badly a couple years back (which is the basis for the song Moor).

The whole of SikTh's new 'Mini Album' Opacities can be streamed from here now. Philistine Philosophies and Behind the Doors have been released earlier, and they've both grown on me a lot. I've only listened to Walking Shadows twice but I already loving love it, holy poo poo it's good.

My -core albums of the year were the new August Burns Red and Kardashev releases. Also strong: Pangaea (BTBAM fans will like), Emergence, Horror of Pestilence, Obastra... and Sikth of course. Was pretty weak though, but that's because a lot of anticipated stuff was moved to 2016 like Erra, Journal, Corelia and Painted in Exile. Otherwise: Galneryus, Kekal, Octaviagrace, Clarence Clarity and Vola. Oh and Prurient was pretty nice.

Welp, at no great loss to the world, all the members of Emmure, except Frankie, have left the band. Looks like they'll be forming a new chugcore band (and Frankie will undoubtedly replace them to carry on Emmure's legacy without anyone noticing). http://www.altpress.com/news/entry/report_all_emmure_members_have_quite_band_except_vocalist_frankie_palmeri

I'm much more firmly on the deathcore side of the thread so my favorites this year lean that way. There were a lot of decent albums this year but both of these stand out to me because I still listen to them often. They're also good driving music. Motionless In White has a really good name, which makes the fact that they loving suck a crushing disappointment. I didn't know Marilyn Manson could get edgier and less subtle. But I started diving through metalcore in general because of this band called Ice Nine Kills. They released a new album this month and it's pretty baller. This is basically my new theme song.
