Yeah those lunch counters that had signs posted saying "Whites Only".

You don't gently caress over people that are already in your corner and expect to gain support. These people are idiots.

edit: Martin Luther King is not famous for his march in Minneapolis. He matched down the street of Birmingham and defied Bull Connor, one of the most racist shitbags in America. But, yeah, lets gently caress over the people of Minneapolis to show how brave and edgy they are.

Comfy white people who are so terrified of change that they will fight tooth and nail to stop it are pretty much the #1 block pushing back against BLM.

They should burn down the mall of america but my desire to see that has nothing to do with justice or equality

Yes, by all means, trash the messenger. These people are their own worst enemy and they have succeeded in alienating and infuriating their own communities and even liberals and progressives who would otherwise support them but, you know, hey their making progress right? Like everyone now knows that BLM hates white people as much as much as all white people hate and despise blacks. (imagine I posted that ever growing ironicat here if I knew how to do it) What progress they have made. These people are the worst social activists ever.

Minneapolis BLM is actually pretty effective, they've worked with the city council to pass criminal justice reform legislation and they had a city council member at the rally.

"While I'm delayed an hour and half to get back to my family for Christmas, I know there are several black families mourning the loss of innocent black men," said Griffin, a 29-year-old from Minneapolis. "My mom is a little bit annoyed, but she's going to see me this holiday season."

If you could have you would have. You can't, so you won't. The only escape would be to remodel your mind. I would suggest turning on, tuning in, and dropping out.

Which terminal was it anyways? If it was the Lindbergh terminal blocking the two security checkpoints near the delta counters means you have to walk for like 5 minutes to one of the smaller ones. I guess they couldn't handle the volume hence the delay. But that doesn't seem like a very effective thing to do.

They could have shut down the entire Humphrey terminal though but that's "just" Southwest and lol at shutting down a few flights to Chicago from a low cost carrier at a loving delta hub.

I only post this to say I think the MoA was more effective.

After reviewing the facts, I don't think there's ever been a protest that wasn't hurting their own cause.

if the choice is between 1) ignoring it, regardless of what you chalk it up to; 2) doing what you're doing; 3) sympathizing, you should choose option 3) if you aren't an absolute scumbag. but failing that, please stick to 1) because 2) is just embarrassing for you

So let's say, for the sake of argument, that BLM have legitimate grievances.

Do you feel the issues that they're trying to raise awareness of are less important than whether or not some people are inconvenienced around Christmas time? Do you think that being inconvenienced by a protest is in any way a legitimate reason to stop supporting a cause that's just? And if you don't, then why shouldn't BLM protest in the most publicly visible way possible? If you do, why should BLM care what you think since your opinion of them is already so low that you're willing to put your convenience above their lives?

How dare the Bloomington PD handle something in Bloomington instead of an airport in Saint Paul with its own independent police force.
