If you think the t is even close to silent you aren't pronouncing Tsubaki right, hth. That said, if they didn't want a ts in his name they should have made a new name entirely because Subaki is a terrible name.

I've honestly liked most of the localizations where they've changed the names entirely like, Azura and Xander are good and Niles and Jakob are both pretty ok. But the ones where they just remove or add a few letters are so weird, why don't they just completely change them? (Though Kazahana to Hana is alright I think)

Mozu is fine. Beruka is awful. Niles makes him sound like a dweeb. I can understand name changes if the original name is weird or has strange significance, (Cougar to Cormag, Ulysses to Bastian,) but stuff like this is just weird to me. It feels like changes for the sake of changes.
