The interior in my mother's 97 SL500 is honestly not that much nicer than the interior in my '05 avalanche and thats saying alot. Lots of it feels very cheap, flimsy and "parts bin" like, which isn't what you would expect from one of mb's higher end cars. Hell, I'd rate the interior of the 2011 3 series coupe that was in today as one of the nicest looking and feeling interiors I've seen in a quite a while in a sub $100k car.
