Interesting. Here is what I think is a pretty good post about the current asylum circus from a certainly non-TF non-racist woman who, despite all of that, makes a lot of the same arguments horrible monsters like me have made and even has bothered to stay tuned with the realities involved. It would be interesting to see what counter-arguments apart from "gently caress YOU!!!12" those D&D posters who hold on to the idea what we're doing right now "is right/only option" like a last straw, could make against her text (in my case it's just "ur raciste" or "i hope yuo die of CANCAR!"), or what arguments commenters on the site will make trying to shoot down what she wrote. Which again reminds me: why on Earth is it so important to some portion of the population to think trickling adventrous young men from the crisis-areas surrounding Europe is the only option we have, or why it actually helps with anything (it solves no problems over there; at the same time it creates rather large problems here) and why they insist on yelling every other attempt at a solution is that of a hitler or just impossible because of some treaty they magic up or whatever is the easiest route to take that day.

I remember when everyone pat themselves on the back when the previous government increased the annual refugee quota (the only legal mechanism for bringing vulnerable people like children and women to Finland from refugee camps) by 300 to 1050 for 2015, although there was some worry whether there'd be settlement places for them since providing them is voluntary for municipalities. It's down to 750 for 2016, natch.
