It's only a matter of time before tumblr is basically entirely car freaks. The otherkin kids will eventually get fed up and go somewhere else while we all post twelve page screeds about Lenco-related sexual fantasies. Regular society has looked down their nose at us for too long, friends. Seat Safety Switch fucked around with this message at 06:56 on Dec 28, 2015 |

They've been trying to find out who's been stealing from the register for the last week so I'm worried they're going to think it was me. I'm gonna talk to the gm tomorrow about it. I hate the job/company/customers but I'm no thief damnit. Well not intentionally. The gm not saying anything about it wouldn't surprise me though. Working someone open to close 4 days a week and open to 9 the other 3 doesn't leave a lot of time to give a gently caress about paperwork.

Wait, they only have one till? Even the smallest stores I've worked had at least 3, and generally ran 2 - one for the front counter, and one in the back for drivers. My first store actually had 6 tills - 2 in the bar, 1 for the CSR, 1 on a cart that I never saw used, 1 for the drive-thru, and 1 in the back for drivers. 1 bar, 1 CSR, 1 back most days, weekends got a drawer at the drive-thru. If they'd spent 5 minutes doing what they're supposed to be doing at the end of the day, they'd figure out in about 10 seconds why the till was coming up short, if it's related to your tips. All of that poo poo is supposed to be reconciled at the end of the day in every place I've ever worked that handled cash. At the franchise I worked at, every credit card slip had to get a copy of the sales receipt stapled to it (no idea why on that one, they'd blow through an entire roll of receipt paper reprinting tickets at the end of a busy night), then the whole stack got clipped onto the end of day credit card report (which shows order #, phone # with the order, amount charged, tip amount, total amount, and who cashed out the order, line by line, for every credit card transaction, including voids and refunds). It didn't show what till was used to cash out an order, but I know there's a way to run an audit log to show that. I believe corporate dictates that they should do a full safe and till count at every shift change - that way over/shorts can be tied to a specific shift and manager. But corporate also dictates that if more than one person is going to use a till, that they be given access via their own password via the till access function - that way there's an electronic trail of everyone who's had their hands in the drawer, and a username gets associated with anything related to money and dispatching (in every store I've been in, half the store, if not more, just uses the shift manager's password). If they'd been doing that, they would have noticed "hey all of the tips GB has entered have been $0, someone probably didn't show him how to enter tips properly". Have you been cashing out your own orders for a week? Or much longer? One look at your paystub will tell you if they've been entering your tips at the end of the day for you (the computer should also pop up a warning saying your tips had been adjusted during the EOD stuff when you clock in for your next shift). edit: well poo poo, some friends who had some damage to their apartment from the tornadoes aren't being allowed back into their apartment (by police) to gather their clothes/belongings. Part of their apartment complex was leveled though, and the neighborhood around them is gone. Hopefully the police will let them in to get their stuff soon. randomidiot fucked around with this message at 12:29 on Dec 28, 2015 |

KozmoNaut posted:Or you could just buy a remote controlled HDMI switch box The thought did occur to me. I'd have to teach my Harmony how to talk to it. At the moment, I'm good. I barely use the PS3, so it's set up to run through the HDMI pass-through on the Xbone, and the Uverse uses the second HDMI on the TV, with the TV's audio out feeding an analog stereo signal back to the receiver. None of it is irritating enough to make me spend $300. The Locator posted:I'm not a huge fan of Pioneer, I like Onkyo or Denon. It comes and goes though, hasn't happened to me for a couple of months, but sometimes when I stood up, start shaking like I have parkinsons and then I collapse. E: even though I got tested for bp when standing up - it should raise and it does, I'm thinking it either happens when I'm dehydrated; or hardening of the arteries from drinking and smoking. In other news, the 40C heatwave has started here and I'm pissed off as I used to run an a/c business and have spare a/cs to install at the new house, but I currently have no a/c. The old house had 2 split a/cs ready to take, but literally someone else has taken them before I could go back and get them (I'm at the mercy of others since I have no drivers licence still). Two systems are still installed there I could take before demolition of the old house, but demo means no power, so need to borrow a generator. We have one kid (he is 3) and we have a 4-door accord and a 4-door civic si. I am probably selling the Si to buy a BRZ/FR-S or maybe a fiesta ST. The accord is plenty of car for road trips/family stuff, and as long as I can sort of squeeze a carseat/booster in the back seat of whatever car I drive we are good to go. My SO is a good lady and tolerates these ideas from me I would say as long as youre not exceeding 2 kids, one decent sedan/wagon/whatever should be fine.

I have a much older Onkyo, probably about 8 years old (model wise) and I have it connected to my TV via a single HDMI and every single input I have connected passed through no problem. I've had it connected via component, optical and basic cable and RCA inputs as well as all of the HDMI at some point in the past without any problem. Note that I do not use the TV for audio at all, so I can't guarantee that every hook-up combination I've used passes audio properly, since the entire point of having it (the A/V receiver) is so that I can use my surround/good speakers and multiple subs while watching stuff.

We have not had any transmission failures, the major failure component on these is the angle gear for the driveline, but really that is solved by just keeping it filled. She dailies it and it treats her well. I've had to flush the transmission twice in the year we've had it, and it has a sticky solenoid on 3rd, but it drives great otherwise and has all the amenities and everything works. And it handled the torrential rain we got on Christmas day like a champ. It also has 207k miles on it. We did the first option for a while - wife's car was the 2007 Mazdaspeed3, followed by the 2013 CR-V, while I had a single-cab '98 Ranger. Far from "sporty" but definitely no place for a modern car seat. It got old only having one possible baby-hauler so that was a significant part of why I sold the Ranger and bought a Grand Cherokee. I wouldn't call the WJ practical at 15MPG lifetime average, but it's more useful than the Ranger (and with a $15 trailer rental, can haul just as much poo poo).

Also need to see if I can modify my big server UPS to use motorcycle batteries or something.
