We had a packed theater and the Sloth trailer got tons of laughter in TFA. It's such a simple joke, but the comedic timing in that whole scene is really spot on.

Netflix's got a new series by Baz Luhrmann and Shawn Ryan about 70s New York hiphop. While the show itself looks good, the trailer is excellent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zejyzr5vW3A

Netflix is on hot fire - holy poo poo. Remember what, 3 - 4 years (?) ago everyone was on their case and their stupid CEO was doing something dumb that I can't for get - now we all slurp on their knobs.

Back in the mid-80s my mom showed her class of high-school seniors Risky Business for their end of the year reward because she really liked the movie and thought they would enjoy it. She didn't need to get permission from anyone because it was all 17- and 18-year-olds. Nobody complained and she didn't get into any trouble. The principle actually borrowed the tape from her afterwards because she gossiped with him about it and still had the tv and VCR with the tape in it in her classroom. Can you imagine if she had done that today?

Is there a lot of nudity in Risky Business? I can't remember. My very cool grade 4 teacher showed us Logan's Run on a rainy day, she forgot to fast forward the nudity but I don't think it was a big deal. Of course, she'd be disciplined for that today.

Is there anything more to why 80's movies could get away with nudity like they did until it was shut down?
