The remake made you have to keep your kart upgraded so that you even stood a chance at the regular races, let alone of the silver coin challenges or even the bosses.

Future Funland is probably the best endgame area ever because of it happening right after the medieval race area. And it's just silly to play to through. That's this game in a nutshell: silly and fun, even looking back at a 19 year old racing game.
