OneThousandMonkeys posted:I was re-watching the Despecialized editions today and it's remarkable how many lines are directly contradicted by stuff that happens in the prequels. Obi-Wan describing his relationship with Anakin is frequently cited, but there's a lot of other stuff, like Leia saying she can remember her mother, pretty much anything Yoda says, Yoda clearly being Obi-Wan's master, and so on. In fact it's not clear that Anakin was directly mentored by Obi-Wan, but rather a comrade. this is really the major problem apart from the prequels being bad movies is that virtually everything is contradicted by the original films (either by inference or directly) and in the cd thread the only way to make it work was say "everyone was lying in the original flicks". it's like george just completely forgot what happened or was said in them.

i don't think a dolphin has raped a human (maybe humped at one like a dog do) but they do beat and rape porpoise children to death.

More to the point, "biologically incompatible" just means they can't bear viable offspring. Horses and donkeys can make mules, but since mules are sterile, it's considered unsuccessful reproduction. I guess what I'm saying is, somewhere in the EU there must be a hideous Sand Person-Human hybrid that wishes for death.

Without being crude, "biologicaly compatible" does not mean you cannot gently caress something. Does this have to be explained? As for dolphins raping humans, it's our fault. We should not be dressing so provocatively. I am replaying KOTOR and I forgot about the "noble savage" plot line on Tatooine. On one hand I kind of like it because it echos the revisionism regarding the native Americans portrayal in westerns (Tusken Raiders are literally the Indians in Star Wars even if they are more visually influenced by Laurence Of Arabia) and the reality that every race no matter how savage seeming has a culture and traditions which was a nice little moral dilemma considering what we have seen of them in the movies . On the other hand, this is Star Wars and sometimes people can't help but over explain. It's nice to have clear cut bad guys.

Dolphin rape was also the plot point to a King of the Hill episode I think.

you can search wookipedia for aspergers and it has no results edit: there is a result for Autism but its something about Jimmy Kimmell edit: now that they have the canon and legends tab its interesting. Was looking up the sandcrawler to see if there was any mention of stuff from the SNES version, and I learned that it wasn't storm troopers that were so accurate, it was an IMperial Flying Fortress also a sandcrawler as seen in the movie (they have different articles for different models) was about 150k credits new, what a deal thats a dollar more than a standard xwing. who came up with these numbers holy poo poo.
