I honestly wonder how after, what, like...ten instances of GDQs this still happens from the GDQ organizers every year they have way too many submissions and have to curate the absolute best, so why are they not ensuring that every single run has enough people actively in that game's community so they pull at least one person that can do accurate supporting commentary on the couch, or the person running it isn't playing a game that's so concentration-intensive that they can actually comment on the run as they're doing it

Yeah this game looks neat but runner and the couch are kinda boring, talk more about the controls and the strategies instead of "Oh this is something" and then 10 seconds of silence followed by a "ok" or "alright"

i mean seriously how does this still happen, GDQ's improved so steadily in post-game interviews decreasing downtime and a general increase in professionalism but every GDQ there's some crazy high skill ceiling run that has a totally uninformed couch that's a total drag, especially when those are long runs
