CJ posted:Does he have to move exactly on the beat or does he just have to have an input for each beat? There has to be an action, whether it's move/attack/dig/whatever, and he dies if he misses it once. That's why this is an insane character for insane people.

Holy poo poo he made it far first try.

Deep Blues is probably the hardest boss on a monk run, there's just so many ways to corner yourself. Kinda funny, since it's probably the easiest boss for most of the other characters.

Man, death chain now that he had that good run. I can't believe he got as far as he did.

A successful coda run pretty much requires 1,000 insta deaths per every win. Even with a dude as nuts as Spooty.

I've still never actually beaten even Aria, much less this horseshit; this run is blowing my mind

Ah, now it's a demonstration of what would be happening if anybody else tried to play this character.

This is loving ridiculous. Also all 3 soundtracks to this game are top notch.

Death metal and Deep blues as the later zone bosses is really sketchy.

Now do it on a Dance mat.

And finish. A near mis-step before Deep Blues but he had the Frost Charm thankfully. And then blew up the chessboard without blinking. EDIT: Spooty is now walking on air, released from the beat that tied him down. Good run. Sage Grimm fucked around with this message at 16:43 on Jan 5, 2016 |

that was really loving sick to watch

Haha, the runner is all shaky after that. So, I didn't have time to watch anything after Battleblock and before this, so I'mma make the standard "did I miss something cool because I have to sleep and work and poo poo (and poo poo)?"
|
# ? Jan 5, 2016 16:43 |
|
Spooty being shaky is understandable because of the stress of being on a live time limit in addition to how incredible precise and adrenaline-filled it is. Guy runs CotN daily, but there's also so much you can prepare.

AAAAaaand I missed it. Oh well, watching at work isn't going to happen today it seems. I'll catch up during the next RPG run.
