I like the Smuggler on the good guy side and only because you can pretty much be "Space-Archer"

but Agent has a much better story and Bounty Hunter has way better companions

It's a pretty good MMO. I liked it better than WoW and Wildstar, but, like all MMO's, ultimately a huge timesink for very little payoff. Depends on what you're trying to get out of it.

I played a Sith Warrior and their storyline was pretty fun.

It shouldn't. TIE fighter is one of those games where every key on the keyboard does something (as does Alt + every key, and Ctrl + every key).

Yeah, but the only important ones are F8, F9, F10, S, Alt+2, primary mouse, W, R, T, E, X, B and spacebar

The combat mechanics are roughly identical to WoW so nothing like KotOR's d20 system. The dialogue system is more like Mass Effect than KotOR. It's not really a kotor game but there still good times to be had if you're a nerd who likes MMOs

There are a few others I used a lot in addition to those (cycling target ship components, countermeasures, saving designated targets for later retrieval, squad mate commands, clearing the targeting computer for dumb fire purposes, targeting ships attacking target)

That seems like a lot of stuff for a TIE fighter. I thought the whole point of them was they were just a cockpit with guns on the front and rockets on the back that could be mass produced and overwhelm the enemy with superior numbers?

I mis-remembered, although Xwing vs TIE Fighter had countermeasures as well.

Basic TIEs, yeah, but once you start introducing the more specialized/advanced variants, then you get TIEs with shields, ordnance, secondary weapons, and higher pilot survival rates. :v:

Honestly flight simulators seem dead as a genre and that is probably why you don't have a current-gen Star Wars dogfight game. Even though dogfight games, especially with map editors, are awesome.
