Like the militia's during the revolutionary war should not be some inspiring tale of heroism but rather a testament to the fact if you make yourself annoying enough eventually the evil empire will stop gunning you down in the hundreds every time you try and fight.

Here's the interview with #tarpman. He puts the hat on when he lifts the tarp to talk to the reporter. He says he has a warrant out for his arrest and is doing this because he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life in a cage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iae8iXKJ4w

It's not even that he thinks he has an outstanding warrant but that he thinks "the FBI" have issued one for his arrest (and four others for ???) because he's trespassing on federal land.

I love the just absolute cowardice of this guy. He's out there under a tarp so the FBI knows where he is and doesn't shoot him if they raid the place. He's even pretty clearly broadcasting his desire to flip on the other militiamen by saying he'll do whatever it takes to stay out of a "concrete box" while being out in the open and where everyone else can see him and knows where he is. He's the most cowardly of a group of cowards. It's amazing.

It appears that local opinion is swaying in favor of the militants- that or substantial numbers in the audience are actually sympathizers/supporters from out of town.

Um, I think you'll find that it's actually impossible that they have any support from anyone and if we just ignore them they'll go away on their own. Because ignoring problems works all the time, you know.

I was thinking that people that sympathize with the Militia guys but were not brave enough to actually join them would come into town to intimidate locals from trying to cooperate with authorities. Its the kind of thing people that practice this selfish freedom would do.

Probably not as much as they deserve but if no punishment comes out of it they're going to do something similar again.

They've already admitted to driving around in gov't trucks with keys they found. At a minimum, that's burglary of a vehicle, unlawful use, or grand theft auto. I guess the problem would be figuring out who was actually driving the trucks. But aside from the trucks, they've entered a building that doesn't belong to them without permission. That's burglary. The county can charge them with that if they want. Armed/aggravated burglary for the ones carrying guns. The county could charge them if they wanted to. Whether they want to or not is up in the air, but this doesn't really require federal charges.
