Bought the card, noticed the color looked a little too saturated for Samsung, but unfortunately the alarm never went off in my head. In hindsight I now know it was because the loving thing was an 8GB card spoofed as 128GB. Thankfully, I didn't lose anything major, but it was quite the stupid loving ordeal. Had some major life events come up and by the time I had proof it was fake, the seller was gone.

I think the reason most people would want a 128GB sd card is to carry around all of their chinese cartoons to watch at a moment's notice. Which I can appreciate. These devices are the primary sources of entertainment, communication, and computing for many people. More storage will always be welcome and I will max out storage on any device I buy whether it be internal, external, it both.

Honestly, iOS seems just as service agnostic as Android is in all of the ways that count and if you're referring to solely the App Store then I think there's a strong argument to be made that disallowing unapproved applications is a near necessity to providing adequate security and that the tradeoff in giving that up isn't worth the bargain for either the custodian of the platform or the user.

Honestly, now that SD cards have the option to be handled in a safe, secure, and useful manner in Marshmallow I have a difficult time raising a dander for objecting their presence. I certainly don't want or need one but as long as they aren't harming the ecosystem (as I think one could argue they were doing at least early in Android's gestation) then it's really no harm, no foul.
