Put the 701 club on afterwards, which is just straight up pornography.

Oh dang, I figured that someone would scoop up a new show from him but I didn't think it would be this soon and I wasn't expecting network.

...What if it's an X-Files animated series guys? Like, not an good one, I want an X-Files animated series in the vein of all the other "adult" properties adopted into animated series in the late 80's-early 90's. Like, give Scully and Mulder a talking dog named "Truth" or something like that and have the CSM show up at the end of every episode Dr. Claw style.

I want that show.

Aren't there at least a few Christian networks that would bend over backwards to take in The 700 Club? It's weird that there's no workable solution there.

You know, thinking back, season 9 of Always Sunny was also one of its better seasons, so I think I can agree with the goons that thought seasons 5/6 were the nadir.

But I mean, when seasons like that are the nadir of your show, I think you qualify for some sort of Nobel Prize in Television.

the point is pat robertson's in a network slot that generates 42 million a year in revenue

or would, if it didn't air lovely garbage like the 700 club

pat knows it so he's holding out and demanding something absurd (apparently) for his show to be bought out, because he knows he has all the leverage

if i were to guess it's probably an eight-figure demand which disney does not, under any circumstances, care enough to pay, especially after handing over a bajillion dollars to buy CBN off of him in the first place

basically it's a game of network chicken between a mega-corporation and a pissed off crotchety greedy old bastard who'll die soon

if anything i'm betting that's what disney is totlaly relying on, pat robertson dying within the next decade and annexing that poo poo for a pittance

IN DEBUT, I SPEW!!!
Guys, seriously, watch the finale of The 100 Season 1 and all of Season 2. It's Good TV(tm). I can't believe I'm excited for the premiere of Season 3 in two weeks. >< Embarrassing.

Again, this is coming from someone who abandoned Season 1 after two eps because I'm not into smarmy teen angst and abdominal muscles.

I suppose this means I need to try a few episodes of Z Nation now. :/ Can you guys please pick out a couple of decent episodes?

Yeah I mean, if you never go back and watch season 1, you'll miss some things, but if you weren't going to give it a shot, do exactly that. Watch the finale of season one, and then start on season 2.

Outlander it is.

Paul Dano actually has a decent British accent in War and Peace. Which is funny because he's playing a Russian character. Gillian Anderson has been showing up in various BBC shows for decades so that's no surprise.

Netflix queen show looks pretty great, pretty amazing cast shown off. Looking forward to it, War & Peace pilot has re-awakened my need for Period tv, since Madmen has ended. Also Netflix has launched globally except China (need government permission) and Crimea, North Korea and Libya due to US restrictions. Expect a lot of cash inflow and new shows in a year or two.

Agreed, especially when he's already played FDR in a fantastic TV movie from the 90's called World War II: When Lions Roared, which also had Bob Hoskins as Churchill and Michael Caine as Stalin.

All Lithgow has to do now is play Stalin and he'll have the hat trick.

Outlander is great, and any episode can feel like it's out of any genre. Romance here, action/adventure there, and then political intrigue. I can't wait for it to come back.

I didn't know that as a Sandler movie. I thought it was an Asylum-style cash grab off the new Tarantino movie.

How would hiring him to make movies be a mistake? They may be the most garbage hackey racist poo poo ever, designed solely to give Sandler and his buddies a paycheck,, but for some reason people continue paying to see them.

I'm gonna start the second episode soon. But the protagonist really worked for me in the first episode. I don't know if the first-person voice-over narration is gonna continue past the pilot, but that also worked for me.

Yeah I found myself forgetting to watch it for a couple days more and more the closing months of 2015. It's a good show with a fine cast (who elevate the writing a lot) but more and more it's just not the kind of show I ever wanted it to be. I was ok with how broad it was last season but now it's going a little far.

Anyway the episode definitely isn't terrible and is probably one of the stronger ones of the season so far overall but I definitely think there's been a change in my perception of it and it isn't gonna come to mind as one of my favourite comedies anymore really.
