It's goofy, but it's only bad if you buy into the right wing narrative that there's something wrong with young people, especially women, having sex and taking steps to do so safely. There's a difference between 'moral scolds will have an easy time twisting this into a negative' and something actually being a negative.

So I slacked off a little, and I have a lot of cartoons to post, but I also value your scrolling time (not your sanity though.) This is the first batch of just US artists I grabbed off of Cagle. I've done my best to try not to repost anything, but I apologize if you're forced to endure something again. I'll do some posts later in the night to cover some of the rest of the ~~poo poo~~ drat fine cartooning I found.

Is Allie on vacation or something? He hasn't done a new ~~Star Wars~~ cartoon since before the new year.

OBAMA LOL
This is by J.D. Crowe, who is apparently a cartoonist distributed around Alabama. This is the original version of the cartoon, with all six panels individually separated and requiring you to move through them in a slideshow, but the dialog is easier to read and the sheer laziness of it is even more obvious. I did a quick flip through his stuff and most of it is too unremarkable to post.

He is the cartoonist that my local paper uses. I did a small dump of him last year and check to see if he's done anything interesting every now and again but he never really does. Still glad to have someone like him (not an utter shithead) in the local rag though.

Canada is going ahead with a $15B arms sale to Saudi Arabia despite their ongoing awfulness. The new government is trying to weasel their way around it by saying they have no right to interfere in a private contract between a corporation and a foreign government, despite the fact that Canadian law clearly gives the government the power to block arms sales for a number of reasons, including concern over the other country's human rights record.

Meanwhile this is the worst Trudeau caricature MacKay has done so far.
