I humbly suggest that squids on Team Past wear the old-fashioned hats/shoes, and squids on Team Future wear futuristic ones. gently caress stats, let's play dress-up

Whoa, I played ranked for the first time today and it was great! Splat Zones is an excellent game mode and I can't believe it took me this long to try it out.

Yeah once you start playing lots of ranked its hard to go back to turf war. Rainmaker can be kinda hit or miss based on your team but splat zones and tower control are really amazing. Lots of people have said they should add an un-ranked playlist for splat zones and other modes and I agree.

Yeah, most of the projectiles don't need anything close to a charged shot to kill. The missiles and little enemy-spawning capsules have ridiculously low health. Dodge missiles, pop capsules, charge up a shot for the fists and pineapples and you'll be golden. I found the roller to be more difficult, if only because of the low RoF.

I love the L-3 Nozzlenose. I'm still not sure how to use the Killer Wail in an effective manner but the gun hits hard and fast if you've got your rhythm down and disruptors are a fantastic sub.

So, I'm level 15 now. Here is my impression of the game thus far. Story mode is fun. It's kinda quick but the bosses are well done. The regular game mode is ok. It does its job but the ranked modes are amazing and need to have an un-ranked mode. The weapons are fairly balanced. I only ran into a few guns that I would call less useful than most. I settled on the ranged blaster. The gear is ok, I feel like you need at least 2 of any attribute to even notice a difference. And finally I play with the Japanese alot. It's not a terrible thing but if there's lag they win. Also this will be my first splat fest and I'm going on team past.

When you decide to try the inkbrush ask the thread for advice, it's the best weapon for covering turf but it's one of the hardest to use effectively.
