Davincie posted:men of war and red tide for the singleplayer games which are generally really good, with the exception of the commandos-esque missions which weren't great. another example of a really neat missions is one where you where you commanded an entire army of russian marines. you had 10 minutes to set up defensive positions and then just got loving swarmed by germans. just incredible amount of germans that always seemed to go for your weak points, so you end up slowly retreating what survives of your forces (mostly like a couple of infantry men, a half broken tank and some AT cannons half of which get shot in the back while running) from trench to trench in this hopeless battle where you slowly get driven into the sea. it was extremely memorable "Comrade, 10 miles to our west lies the unsuspecting 130th Panzer division. To drive these fascist invaders from our motherland, high command has authorized the use of the following assets: a half-squad of veteran riflemen, 3 mosin-nagant bolt action rifles, 4 magazines of rifle ammunition (7.62), a combat knife, a stick of dynamite, 4 jaunty hats. Go get 'em champ!" -quite a few MoW missions, in hindsight
