Take a bunch of benzos at night so you can fall asleep starving, then just snort a few lines in the morning to get the engine cranked backup. Sounds pretty normal to me.

cyclocross post Please watch the last three or so laps of the Diegem Superprestige race this week if you want to see some of the fastest cross you've ever seen and Kevin Pauwels actually try and win a race and Tom Meeusen blow chunks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8K5jHBvIm7Y

I still don't quite get the appeal of cyclocross but that last lap was fun.

I'm watching American styled football and between the Citrus Bowl and the Rose Bowl, there is something called The Blackberry Farm ProAm Classic Cycling Race on ABC.

Its a charity thing with George Hincapie, Ted King and other pros dragging old freds around a stage race. Not sure why it's on tv but it looks like fun for the riders.

So the UCI has decided to ban Michael Boogerd for 2 years. He no longer rides of course, but this also means he can no longer be a teammanager at Roompot-Oranje. The verdict comes just THREE YEARS after he confessed to using EPO and blood transfusions "on and off" for about 10 years during his career.

Every parent knows that timeliness is critical when disciplining a wayward child. *Gasp* UCI, how could you?!

Just keeping the Omerta in place, still not OK to confess your doping years after the fact in a tv interview.

I want him to win a classic. Redefine himself as more than just a monster against the clock and wind. He suffers so productively it's awesome to watch.

I'm a fan of Fabs, Contador and Cav, anyone else is a doping dick. Irregardless that my selected riders rode for Mapei, Astana or T-Mobile.

We've got the TDU coming up, which doesn't really count because it's so early in the season it doesn't even much of a purpose as a tune-up for the Classics. Nice to watch cycling in the daytime, though. The Australian Road champs were held on the weekend, Jack Bobridge just basically blitzed everyone so most of the field had dropped out by the end of the race.

No but seriously it's pretty cool seeing all the teams riding around downtown Adelaide. Last year I saw a team member turn up to my local supermarket and buy like 10 ice coffees.

Malori has been placed in an induced coma after fracturing his skull in this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUVWmIf1lgA I can't work out what causes the first guy to go down, but thats a nasty smash. Gaviria also broke his arm in the crash. Edit: And an English driver on the wrong side of the road just annihilated Giant's squad on a training camp in Spain. No confirmed names for the injured but Barguil is apparently hurt. https://twitter.com/informacion_es/status/690933641451540481 serious gaylord fucked around with this message at 19:35 on Jan 23, 2016 |
