It's totally ok to enjoy something. It's just also good to be aware of the social dynamics you're taking part in or encouraging, consciously or subconsciously. There's no reason this discussion has to become an either/or situation here. Keep enjoying ethnic food. Just also don't be a dick about it and claim some sort of credit, or give yourself backpats for it.

And as CommonShore said, just changing decor to cater to white people isn't going to help restaurants located in places deemed "bad" parts of town. And struggling restaurants don't necessarily have the funds to revamp their interiors. It's just a lovely situation, and people capitalizing on it to cut others out is just lovely behavior, no matter how good a market strategy it is.
