Jesus Christ, volume 87 of Conan. I saw the cover had Conan as a kindergartner and thought, "holy poo poo, he got de-aged even more????" but apparently it's just a flashback to when he and Ran first met. This is happening 87 volumes into the series. A flashback to a first meeting.

I really like the training arcs for HxH because it feels so... I dunno, natural? Like, they're not learning forbidden techniques or anything, they're simply talented kids who are being taught by exceptional teachers, and the training feels like a natural extension of the arc rather than a haphazard "HOLY poo poo WE NEED TO TRAIN FOR 1 YEAR IN 1 DAY" poo poo that Bleach or DBZ pulled. It helps that nen and its basic applications are really well thought out, so they're pretty much using the basic techniques to understand advanced techniques in a way the reader can understand.

live-a-live had a lot of good male protags and only 1 good female protag, because it only had 1 female protag and she was possible to replace with 2 other male protags lmao but the girl protag was the best cause she was cooler than fat guy and tiny kid tho sunset and oboro were still the coolest

Yeah, I've known about that video for a while but I actually had no idea it was Ken Ashcorp until the previous Madoka thread. People started talking about Madoka and rapping and I posted that and someone mentioned that it was by Ken Ashcorp before he had a breakdown or something and deleted all his parody stuff because apparently they were more popular than his serious stuff or whatever.
