Chinese women are told from a very young age that their vaginas are ugly, smelly, dirty, and that they should be ashamed of them. On the other hand baby/kid dicks are the greatest things and everyone thinks they are the cutest things on earth. It's a really surreal experience to see Chinese people grimace and turn away if they see a baby girl with no pants, but then everyone going ape and fondling a baby/toddler's dick. . . on a bus. . . and everyone was taking pictures

A few short ones about racism and plunging: I'm definitely a boob guy, and due to either luck or my subconscious my time in China was filled with girls with mostly above average to downright ridiculous sized boobs. At least 50% of the girls I schnogged were rocking it in the boob department. The one this story is about had a pretty face, nice body and American D cups, but she did something so loving weird I almost called it quits but I didn't because I have no self-respect. I asked if any of those dudes still worked at the school and the lady that was interviewing me said no because the parents didn't want black people around their children and kept complaining and withdrawing, despite it looking like the guys were doing a good job from all the pictures I could see. Never answered that places calls after. One of my friends got a job offer he didn't want so he sent it to me. I also wasn't interested so I passed it on to a black girl from New Orleans. A couple days later we met up and I asked if she ever got in contact with that school. She said it was going fine at the start then after the school requested a picture of her and she sent it, the lady called her and told her that black people can't speak English and that there are no black people from America. This happens in America too but I heard it more the three years I was in China than my whole life in America. Chinese people will say something ridiculously racist then insist that they're not racist, and if you call them on it they say it's not possible for racism to exist in China because they all look the same. China/Korea/Japan want Blonde-haired, blue-eyed teachers for their english classes. It doesn't matter if you are black and have a PHD in "Teaching spoilt Asian kids to speak English", they will 100% rather pick the alcoholic blonde moron who can't string together a coherent sentence, because the moms will complain if they see a black person teaching their kids. A few years ago I did a thread on "Mike" (Dutch whore-monger) in China who was a total disgrace of a teacher, but had those two all important characteristics of "blonde hair, blue eyes". He managed to keep his job after bringing in his (then side woman) into a kindergarten class who was dressed in only high heels and a freaking bikini. Meanwhile the one black guy that I knew who was teaching in China was only able to get hired by an almost literal hole-in-the-wall school that has 3/4 of their English staff just take off and were incredibly desperate for teachers.

Or, when you tell them the accent is perfect as the white person they trust to check on these things, they then tell the black or Asian or Indian person applying for the job that the accent is bad when/if they call back again. I guess we're a couple pages past book chat, but I'm a third of the way through Age of Ambition and I really like it so far. If you have only a little experience with the middle kingdom I think it helps give some semblance of context for a lot of the weird cultural quirks.

Racism stories 1. During an English corner I was talking with a Chinese guy about music and the topic of Chris Brown came up. I told him I don't listen to Chris Brown because he beat up Rhianna. The Chinese guy in fully earnestly then said "Oh, so he beats up his girlfriend because he is black". 2. For a short time I worked in recruiting for one of those sketchy INTERNSHIP IN CHINAR agency, where you pay them to place you in some company for 1-6 months. Depending on the agency, company, city and length the fee can be anything from around $1500 to bordering on 100k. Also, know that in China, every CV should always have a picture attached. My boss, head of recruiting had no patience at all, and would often shout at customers over the phone if she felt they were asking stupid questions, or made a mistake or similar. One time she was shouting on the phone "Of course you need a picture in your CV! The company wants to see if you are black or Indian! If you were them you I'm sure you wouldn't want to hire someone ugly!"
