it's finally here: the best 2D Metroid available on Wii u. it looks insanely good on gamepad...who else picked up this classic. I'm doing a No Long Beam playthrough atm. I think I'll do another run of no charge beam and the try to do speedruns. I've also never actually beaten hard 100%, I might try that too

I played up to getting the gravity suit last night. It looks so drat good. Planned playthroughs: -100% normal (current) -100% hard -15% normal or hard Then I'm going to try and learn to any% speedrun it. Note: super is still the best. I have never played this one before, except a 20-minute stint where I borrowed it from a friend on a bus ride. I am looking forward to purchasing it tonight and finding out what I've been missing for nearly 12 years.

Epic summer memories attached to this classic game

Too bad it's the model with the front light instead of the backlight Also for my money this is the best 2D Metroid, the platforming just feels way tighter in this game.

Super Metroid in the zero mission engine would be untouchable. It still feels good but the movement and specifically wall jumps in ZM feel just better enough that swapping between the two makes you notice the lack in SM.

Maybe some day nintendo will think about GBA on 3DS but I'll take perfect gameplay on the Wii U until then.

M2 are the guys who do the 3D Classics series too, right? They're awesome.
