We tried to foster once and our dog had a poop-inside competition (9 poops! Foster dog won with a liquid one on the bathmat) with the new dog. Then she ran headlong into a door and got a cut above her eye and we had to find another foster for the dog. We were idiots who just wanted to help. At least by the time dog number 2 came around, we'd learned a lot about introducing a new dog into the house. The rescue that I am most attached to had a litter of 5 cattledog mix puppies.
