this is the opposite of pivoting to the center. this is reaffirming the theory that trump has absolutely no intent of appealing to any electorate other than the republican base. this is the most calming moment of the primary season* for me *which hasn't actually even started yet, technically the only way this could be more calming is if he actually did name her his vp candidate. but surely that would've leaked by now. too much to hope for the poo poo that scares me is boring stuff like branstad endorsing him or signs that he's appealing to a new electorate. if trump's just homing in on the same losing electorate that xacto-knifed the mccain halves off their mccain/palin bumper stickers then things are a lot less novel than we've been portraying this election as
