It's the same guy throughout and he runs away afterwards. The camera just shifted left.

Ahaha whatup, Sunbelt buddy. I love that email, and how dead serious it is about loving chair safety. Like, in the middle of all the guys falling off things, or getting hit by tools/equipment, how embarrassing would it be to make company wide news because you fell out of your goddamn chair? I made sure to go up front and show all the desk guys how to maintain proper 3-point contact while sitting down, too.

falling in a sitting position is a lot more painful than you'd expect, especially if you can't get your arms out quick enough to absorb some of your weight. I got knocked down like that in gym class, it hurt really bad for like a week and you can't do anything about it except take painkillers and sit on one of those donut pillows for people with butt problems.

Possible, but as has been mentioned, landing on your tailbone on concrete with nothing to cushion your fall can also hurt like a bitch.

And to contribute: Since I'm not about to post pictures from my own workplace (covering up logos doesn't help given that my company's equipment is bright-rear end green), here's something I posted in AI a while ago:

I saw this guy pulled over in the parking lot next to my work a few months ago. That's a 3/4 ton pickup pulling it, too. The cops had to drive it up onto some portable scales to weigh it and it was obvious that it was so back-heavy that there was negative tongue weight. Best part is that one of our delivery drivers said that he passed this guy on the loving highway. 2nd best is the spray painted on TDG "placards."

We do training for lifting equipment operators and inspectors, as well as riggers. I think it was a mobile crane inspection or operation class, can't remember which one they attended. I'm keeping exactly which company I work for still anonymous while I work for them for obvious reasons; there's multiple companies in the US (including at least two in my state) that handle this, so it's not easy to guess. I'd appreciate it if nobody tried to be weird and pry.

I bruised my tailbone when my feet went out from under me on some slippery stairs once. I was in bed or hobbling slowly for about a week, and at the time I was a 22 year old in reasonably good shape. (Maybe if I had a fatter rear end it wouldn't have bruised so bad. :v:) I remember that rolling over on the couch was a complicated process involving both arms, about 2 minutes, and a lot of pain. Tailbone bruises are no joke.

Plus a lot of injuries come from the fall, not the skid. You hit the ground with the same impact if you are going 0 mph as you do going 50 mph. Your head is going to experience the same free fall from ~6 ft up.
