TNG had a couple of masons, plus a mason recruiter that made a new masonry every night. She managed to make a complex web of masonries that scum had no idea about. Also in a CYOR game once I was in a masonry with every other player in the game, which was fun but that game fizzled out. So to answer your question, there's no such thing as too many masonries. I love masonries and I feel they give people something to do without changing balance very much so I use them a lot.
