I believe so. There's also a story where his cat is sleeping on his prayer robe, so rather than disturb the cat he just cuts off the bit the cat is sleeping on and wears the robe with a chunk cut out of it.

EDIT: And one more. This is a well-known scholar from al-Azhar in Egypt, and a mosque cat named Mahia who lives at the attached mosque. He starts out giving a lecture about one thing then boom, cat, and it turns into a lecture about being merciful towards animals and similar topics. The first part when the cat comes is the cute bit, once she settles on the table it's just a lecture.

She did, right up to where the khutbah (a sermon of sorts) is spoken. I saw it posted on Reddit with the caption "my son's giving the khutbah today" and imagined mom cat saying it and then I just melted out of cuteness because poo poo LOOK AT THE KITTENS :3:
