Now that rift crystals are working please hire my pawn http://steamcommunity.com/id/overbite/ Her name is Eclair and she's big and strong and training as Warrior right now. I plan on having her as warrior/fighter back and forth as needed. She is good at fighting and doesn't talk much. Overbite fucked around with this message at 04:01 on Jan 21, 2016 |

Is there a way to make the skies not poo poo in the postgame yet (without doing the glitchy thing in the final battle)? I did a cursory look around the mod nexus and all that with no results.

Something interesting happened to me, I decided to do a fresh restart cause I wasn't too big of a fan of hard mode's "Everything one shots you, but you level up faster so you can kill bad guys faster" thing and how I was almost level 50 after the first meeting with the duke. It seems between me restarting and the first time I rested someone dismissed my pawn and my fresh, brand new pawn retained all the knowledge my previous pawn had. Either she retained the information she already had or this person decided to keep my pawn for a *very* long time. At least long enough for 27k crystals, which was very nice since I lost all my previous crystals.

I'm not even trying to level. I hope the owners of Halkor and Levin like their RC for all these silly runs because they've been lugging my arrows around for a while now. Of course now there's the painful question of how the hell I'm going to dragonforge my pawn's gear. I think on console I engaged in magic archer + level 200 pawn shenaningans.

I just ran out of quests? Everything I have is just generic "kill x amount of y" and something about an ambush that was apparently cutscene worthy but nothing has attacked me out on the roads. I just polished off the quest to kill the gryphon which auto-failed me on something else, too. Where should I go from here? Do I have to wait until those nameless schmucks on the road deign to attack me or what?

Is there a minimum amount of time between quest offers? I'm trying to get escort duty to start so I can get the gold idol, but moneybags fornival won't offer it to me. I even gave the guy a forgery of the bronze idol! I've already done the pre-reqs where you had to shadow a dude through town and the other where you evict a family.

There's a mod that removes the inventory limit. I wasn't finding the inventory management compelling as a game mechanic, it was just a hassle to either make trips to an inn or wasting time transferring junk to my pawn. I still dump my junk and only take a few select healing items with me, but it's nice to not have to stop the action to juggle my inventory every 10 minutes. I was using a trainer to lower my XP back to 0 so I would stop leveling so much lol. edit: I'm also starting regret naming my pawn "Tubgirl." So I just murdered the Cyclops, and tried to branch out a bit and got murdered by Wolves and Bandits. My sword feels really lovely, where can I get another one? Also, What kind of Set up should I roll with as far as Pawns are concerned? I've got two mages, one is some sort of heal bot, the other is a nuker that I made. I also got some bow an arrow person, that way no-one gets in my way when I climb a monster and smash face! How do you find shops and stuff? And which missions are good to start with?

So, I started my first character as a strider, saw how little damage the daggers were doing, figured it was a primarily bow-centric class, and switched to warrior at the first chance I got and played the entire rest of my first playthrough as that and then an assassin. Played the beginning of hard mode + as fighter, and then once I maxed that out figured I should probably try out strider again, maybe it has some good augments? as it turns out, strider is the most fun class in the game. I feel like a huge dope. Dash is fantastic, reset is fantastic. Wish I'd stuck with it for like, 30 more minutes to figure that out!

I finally decided to try Magick Archer after going Assassin on the PS3, and holy poo poo this is the most fun class in the game. I can just shower a giant monster in holy arrows and with barbed nails and the emphasis augment I was knocking down gorecyclopses no problem. Ricochet arrows are hilarious and is all else fails I can just light myself on fire and stab a monster to death. I also learned that giving my ranger pawn the skill great gamble is a mixed blessing. She will take so much health off boss monsters that they sometimes just die before I know what happened. Suddenly 3 or 4 bars of health will just disappear. Buuuuut she will also decide that a low level goblin is an equal threat and waste all the stamina restoring items I've given her clearing out nobodies. Its much less of an issue on Bitterblack, but its still annoying in the main game.

I think I killed the dragon too soon. I feel like I missed half the content of the game, and now all enemies are hard as balls. At least wakestones drop like candy. Did BBI also scale up in difficulty when I kicked the dragon's rear end, or does that stay the same? Haven't tried visiting it yet.

Be warned that it is much harder than the base game for a variety of reasons. Also if you want to see more of the base game, just collect enough wakestones to unlock the real ending. It's actually good and then you can unlock new game+ to do everything you missed.

Anyone else having difficulty getting Reynard's "Search Party" quest to start? I've done it several times on the console version but after ten individual transactions he hasn't offered it. The only thing I can imagine that would make a difference is that I just bought the Fournival affidavits off him and he's still talking about those before he sells to me.

Whichever quest you currently have active can affect the dialogue you get from NPCs. If that doesn't work, maybe you just need to complete Trials and Tribulations first. I literally just started Reynard's quest like 2 minutes ago so it does definitely work.
