Oh yeah, it's a newer poster for the original film. Fangoria did a little feature over that sorta thing last week and I saved a few

Every jpg of the original leatherface: TCM3 poster I can find is like 50x50p.

I think someone's trying to cover up that film's existence. :tinfoil:

Am I bonkers or was there ever an incident where it was spelled "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre?" I could've sworn the original had the space.

It was spelled that way on the BBFC card, I think.

4 Monty Python movies, a handful of SNL movies like Blues Brothers and Wayne's World, and Super Troopers would point to yes.

Yeah, Monty Python remain the only ones to do it successfully, although that's in large part because even Life of Brian is structured like a series of skits held together by a loose narrative.

I would argue that Mike Myers and Dana Carvey were sketch comics that turned a sketch into a sketch movie, but your mileage may vary.

Two of the Python movies don't count, because they were made of sketches themselves.

Adding to the list: I don't like them myself, but a lot of people enjoyed Borat and the Ali G movie.

I was actually going to add that, but I knew some people swear by it and I didn't want the question to turn into an argument about Hot Rod.

This is really too accurate to be the joke they intend it to be. The only thing off is that the tagline is about 15 years too late.
