Man, Millennium is so loving grim it's almost hilarious. But it's a pretty drat good show that I'm sure influenced a lot of later shows, just like X-files. Sucks that the X-Files airs tonight as I won't get to see it until tomorrow night, oh well.

X-Files condensed a lot of that new-age poo poo that was floating around (remember Sightings? Or the Unsolved Mysteries cases involving abductions?). Millennium took all our dumb hopes and fears about a date change and let us doubt that the next 1,000 years would be better. Plus Lance Henrikson, man.

Fox has been showing old episodes here and I just watched the Modern Prometheus, and I have to say that if any of the episodes this season is as good as that one then it'd be a huge success.

I just watched this episode for the first time last night and loved it immensely. Not sure how I missed it before. I was kind of a latecomer that only saw X-Files consistently when it was new the season before T-1000 took over and beyond. Before that were random reruns.

When I first saw Post-Modern Prometheus years ago I thought it was great but as I marathoned X-files recently that really stood out like a sore thumb.
