Also I am going to make it a rule that from now on you can't say you hate/dislike a genre if you can name more than two shows in that genre that you actively like.

Giant Robo was pretty good, but I don't think it'd change anyone's mind about mecha. It only occasionally seemed like a mecha show at all.

I wouldn't really call Giant Robo a mecha show so much as a series with a giant robot in it. The focus was more on martial arts and superpowers as opposed to giant robot fights. Which is a silly thing to say about a show called Giant Robo.
