Neither did I. I also never knew about that fast turning stuff. Also using the Y button for quick turns seems iffy since you'd have to constantly toggle it to fix your aim.

IDK, I have an el-gato, maybe i'll just try and capture footage of when I think its happening and see if i'm being my regular idiot self

I gotta remember to check the live squid counter at the top so I can find a safe place to let allies super jump to me. It's hard to remember that ind of stuff in the heat of battle. Does anyone want to form a squad?

Yeah it's a bit of a double-edged sword, I've had a few squids try and sneak up on me but then they activate their Echolocator and when I realise that the arrow came from behind me, I just turn around and shoot them Also, everyone should learn the quick turn/squid canceling in your own ink if you want to know how to avoid most Chargers Hell if you want to avoid most anything

Alright, tried out - in the absence of a proper name - quickturning. Basically, You hold down R during the whole period. While you aim your sub, press ZL to dive and move around. Then, if you need to turn, just dive again to the new direction. The momentum that would have been there if you did it normally isn't there, so you can do quick zig zag motions if need be. This'll probably need some practice before you can do it intuitively, but can be effective if you need to close the gap to your opponent or need to do a quick 180° retreat. You might have problems with the squid beakon, though.

I don't know how to squid cancel yet but I've still had a lot of success doubling backwards behind obstacles, climbing a wall halfway then dropping down take an alternative route, etc. I've had Chargers aim uselessly to where they thought I was going to be and by the time they realise I'm not there anymore I've Aerosprayed their entire base or seekered them up the wazoo

Another good one when multiple people are on the Tower and someone pops a Bubbler, then you just push them all off and ride the tower away. Falling into the water is a bonus in some maps. People rarely expect you to keep shooting at them after a Bubbler or Kraken. Throwing a Seeker straight through a Killer Wail to splat someone is pretty great too. Although having a team that Booyah-s when you all do something good is still my favourite.

God, I love the business team that's been up in the latest block. (The team with the leader who is not only in a suit, but also a Cthulhu mask.) They're all so dedicated to their team brand that they have business cards, and the leader even formally handed one out to one of the enemy team leaders before he had to play rock, paper, scissors with them.
