Al probably doesn't have a real phylactery. He strikes me as more of a body possessing type of spirit. Mark is probably just an unwilling pawn in a grander and darker scheme.

The phylactery is under the 50 yard line of the Coliseum. That's why the Raiders can't move. Someone might disturb it and release the vengeful spirit of Al.

I'd take it one step further, Al Davis has a series of Horcruxes. At least one of them is a Raiders Lombardi trophy, another is a bottle of stick'um once given to Biletnikoff.

So LA get a team they don't care about, and San Diego gets to not show up for another season because why would you when the owner of the team treats you with such open contempt.

This past season with the impending move hanging over the team was the most exhausting season ever, to say nothing of the product on the field.

I'm already exhausted for the 2016 season and it's January

Just enjoy having a team for as long as it lasts, it's not the players' fault so you can cheer for them and maybe don't give the team itself any of your money if you can help it

San Diego Chargers·Friday, 29 January 2016

Dear Chargers Fans,

Today I decided our team will stay in San Diego for the 2016 season and I hope for the long term in a new stadium.

I have met with Mayor Faulconer and Supervisor Roberts and I look forward to working closely with them and the business community to resolve our stadium dilemma. We have an option and an agreement with the Los Angeles Rams to go to Inglewood in the next year, but my focus is on San Diego.

This has been our home for 55 years, and I want to keep the team here and provide the world-class stadium experience you deserve.

Everyone on both sides of the table in San Diego must now determine the best next steps and how to deploy the additional resources provided by the NFL.

I am committed to looking at this with a fresh perspective and new sense of possibility.

With deep appreciation for your years of support,

Dean A. Spanos
Chairman

I'm pretty sure that was the whole point of the Kroenke negotiation- the Chargers want to present the strongest leverage they can to secure public financing.

This is kind of my dilemma with the Rams right now. Like I really really hate Stan Kroenke, but I like a lot of the Rams players and I'd like to see them do well. Seeing Kroenke holding the Lombardi anytime soon would infuriate me though.

If I were in the Chargers promotions or season ticket sales department I'd start my weekend early and be very deep in a bottle of the cheapest booze within arms reach right about now.

How the hell do you promote this team or convince people to buy tickets to what has 'lame duck session' written all over it? Ahhhhhh hell it just gives Rivers another 12 months to fill his quiver in his safe place before he crosses the county line into LA and immolates upon entry.
