It seems to me like Team Barbarian is humourously underrepresented. The last five matches I've played have all been Ninja vs. Ninja. Maybe things would be different if there was a "Barbarian Squid" perk.

What would a "Barbarian Squid" perk be like, anyway? I'd imagine it to be a trait that gives a stacking buff to attack and defense for every time you splat an enemy squid (in return for making it more difficult to hide in ink), or that gives a 1-2 second Bubbler buff (which isn't shared with allies) when you splat a squid, to help you break through teams holding checkpoints. Either way, I'd imagine it being useful for melee weapon types (rollers and ink brushes). That reminds me of an idea I had for another sub-weapon, the Roller Charge (which shows up on Roller/Inkbrush type weapons), which lets you dash forward really fast for a few seconds, inking the terrain as you go, in order to help rollers close the distance with mid-range gunners. Of course, said gunners could counter this by baiting the roller into charging, dodging to the side, and shooting them from behind.

I think a snowblower(inkblower) type weapon would be pretty neat. It'd be slow to move, have high power and range, and nearly a constant stream, but only if your pushing it over an already inked area. If not over ink it would be near useless, and if over enemy ink you'd end up spreading their ink. Anyway, are there any good female Splatoon let's players? It feels like they're almost all dudes and I want some variety. The only female I've found is Taeya and she only has 8 videos.

any tips for ancho-v? this splatfest im crushing piranha pit and having the usual strats work favourably in the warehouse but just cant seem to figure out ancho v at all. what are the key choke points and where should i focus on gaining ground?

I like to ride the sliding platform right out of our spawn point and use it to take the outer path around the right side of the map. That way I end up surprising bad guys from behind in the center area, or just picking them off as they enter the center. The enemy spawn point seems to have the largest inaccessible surrounding area of any map I've noticed, so that's as close as I can get to spawn camping.

 I have crowned myself!  Ancho-V Games is great fun, and clever usage of the moving platforms means you'll have an upper hand all the time. Piranha Pit was a bit of a struggle in the beginning, but after I learned to handle certain key areas, I've managed to win back some of my honor in ink. Walleye Warehouse on the other tentacle is easy peasy.

The second (and final) day of Splatoon Tournaments have started at Tokaigi. The nationwide match broadcast begins in half an hour's time. There's also a broadcast for a junior tournament that's currently live.

Are they playing Turf War for all of the matches? I've watched a few matches on the streams and only seen Turf War. Seems pretty silly when there are the better competitive modes.

Well, there's at least one good point for Splatoon as a spectator game: You have a better idea of the current situation, unlike in Counter-Strike. Also the rounds are shorter. The second round of qualifiers started.

Yeah, Callie and Marie's outfits are all i'd expect from the amiibos. Also odd coincidence, every match of the tournament i've seen has ended on blue team's victory. Right to left power to the max.
