So I finally read all of the latest manga chapters and... this is pretty drat charming. I really like the idea that Universe 7 ended up being sort of like the evil twin, after all the stuff we've seen. The goal of this manga was just to advertise the show, right? Reeeeally hoping they don't mess this up, cause this has a lot of potential. edit: For the love of god, Trunks, change your outfit. No one your age should be wearing overalls. Remember that aside from personal pride none of the Z-fighters particularly care which Universe they end up in. The only real worry would be Beerus losing his temper.

That plot point is conspicuously absent in the anime though and as they'd used the Namekian Dragon Balls to do that but in the anime, they've been used by the Z crew to revive Piccolo so it might have been a manga only thing.

There might well be an arc in the new universe but I doubt the cast will leave the original one for good, there's enough 'Goku is a bad dad' jokes around as it is without him abandoning his family to go live in another dimension

There's no way in hell this is how Super ends, so there'll be something that happens after this, and keeping everyone in Universe 6 seems like the easiest way to bring new threats considering Goku and Vegeta have already surpassed by far everything else on Universe 7 apart from Beerus and Whis.

So I noticed GT was on Hulu and decided to give a couple of random episodes a go. People had set my expectations so low that I expected to actually be pleasantly surprised. I was totally prepared to be *that* guy who went around explaining how GT isn't all THAT bad. Yeah. That didn't happen... On the upside, I now appreciate Super/the new movies a lot more now.

I only got about 20 some episodes into GT in the last couple of months before losing interest. I still want to go back and finish it eventually, but man is it some bad Dragon Ball. It's a shame because I do remember the TV movie actually being pretty decent, as well as the actual last episode that I saw on TV as a kid for some reason.

I went to watch the final battle with Omega Shenron because I figured OKay This has to be their shining moment. This has to be the best thing from GT. Let's go! Going off of that, Omega Shenron is one of the weakest Dragon Ball villains ever. Like, legitimately weaker than loving Piccolo Sr. Dude can't even blow up a city! By that point Kid Buu could casually blow up planets- yet even when he's totally hosed and has no options, Sheron can't do jack poo poo. His full power blasts can't even destroy a roller coaster track! It just blows up tiny parts of it what the actual hell! Nappa could do more than this fucker

The idea behind the Shadow Dragons is really cool though, and actually gives Dragon Ball a very appropriate thematic ending. From what I hear the execution is just as bad as the rest of GT though.
