Panty raids were the first college craze after World War II, following the 1930s crazes of goldfish swallowing or seeing how many students could fit in a phone booth.[1]

When I was a little kid I asked my dad where disco music came from. He said "grease", confusing two John Travolta movies, and I misunderstood it as "Greece". I thought about it for a bit: swarthy men, gold chains, seems to check out. So until I was in college I continued to believe that disco music was a popular Greek music style, maybe based on old Greek rhythms and musical sequences

when I was very little, my dad and I went to the local sportsmans club for their fried chicken night. I saw a bunny with antlers on the wall. I asked dad what that animal overt there was - he simply said it was a jackalope. I thought "gee that's neat" and never thought much more about it

come high school, at some point I get into a discussion with my girlfriend and I say something about jackalopes, and she's like "lol those aren't real. " and I'm like of course they loving are alive seen one on the wall. like I will not back down. we go to her dad's office in the basement and she wikis it I guess. welp first major embarrassment of me thinking I knew everything

tbf dad never told me about all the "legends" of the jackalope and platypi and stickbugs are real so how far out there is a rabbit with antlers
