I thought that was a pretty good episode, better than ep 1, but still had a few problems. Why did the Hawks not know what the knife was, didn't it turn up in the Arrow/Flash crossover? The Tiny Atom suit was funny, but looked so cheap. The other Atom shots were actually pretty fun though. Someone else mentioned it earlier but we never really see Captain Cold's "absolute zero" freeze gun actually freeze anything anymore. That was absolutely Dahrks mansion, and I think it will probably end up being a story point more than just budgety reasons. Dahrk also trying to buy nukes in the 70s was pretty funny. Rip is great.

We don't know much about his past misdeeds other than he has been in center of many past political/military upheavals. That doesn't sound like a couch potato that gets himself extra crispy hawksnacks every 20 years or so.

The best show about immortals was Highlander: The Series. Heh, if they'd known they were going to make this before they cast Eiling on Flash, they could've saved Clancy Brown to play Vandal Savage.

I liked this episode. The dialogue from telling Hunter to gently caress off to "Master Race over here" was great. Firestorm shrugging off a nuke was a bit much. Jackson Jefferies...state of him. Man, he's just the worst. So's Hawkman. They shouldn't have introduced Kendra and had her drop everything to be Hawkgirl in the same crossover. It made him come off as ULTRA creepy, granted of course that Hawkman has been terrible since forever. Salute to Kendra for doing gently caress all in that fight. I couldn't even feel for Hawkman in death, time travel is afoot and he's a reincarnater. They could just go to any other point in the past 4000 years or whatever and pick him up. Same dude. The wibbly wobbly stuff is hard to keep up with. If he got unmarried from his wife, shouldn't he not even have any recollection of her? He flat didn't meet her. Caity Lotz is so drat beautiful. Blazed Canary could be the best show ever.

To be fair, he was beaten by somewhere between 4 and 7 heroes (in the do-over the rest of the Arrow gang shows up to fight, right?), the key 2 heroes of Green Arrow and Flash (who for all intents and purposes are the Batman and Superman of the CW universe) did a lot of heavy lifting, and even then the good guys needed a do-over because the first time they tried to stop him they screwed up and got like all of Central City nuked. I'm not in love w/ Savage because so far we haven't seen anywhere near the charisma of Barrowman or Cavanaugh here....but luckily the show is plenty loaded with fun and charming heroes, so a de-emphasized villain is alright by me.

There's an otherworld's comic where Vandal Savage burns up in renetry in a crashing space station and regenerates from a charred skeleton back to life (though it took some time). Rip also said that as long as a single cell remains he can't die so I think the show is operating under similar basis.
