i like pz myers, but that article sucked.

plenty of the assholes in atheism are intellectual, and I've seen little evidence of anti-intellectualism amongst atheists in general.

His argument with famous dead guy Hitchens seems completely ungermane to the feminism/social justice fight among atheism; connecting chest beating about war from Hitchens, to chest beating by Trump, to Trump's other positions is specious at best.

According to Michael Savage, Bernie Sanders was created by the Clinton campaign to make her look more centrist and he knows this because "I don't go out to all the fancy clubs in New York, I'm a hermit and so I see things more clearly than the dinner havers who eat with other people." Then he audibly banged on his desk a little bit and cut to a phone call with Trump.

Amazing.

Just because Liquor's dead, doesn't mean you can just roll this bitch all over town with "The Freedoms."
This is kind of a general observation, but CNN's Jake Tapper almost always has an expression on his face like he woke up in the morning to find his dog dead and decided to power through it and try to smile his way through another day on air. As though there's a deep sadness within him at all times that keeps him on the edge of breaking down in tears, possibly as a result of having to work at CNN.

Final thoughts before Matt Walsh ends his life

quote:

"God bless America" is a common refrain, but it's basically hollow because I doubt most of the people who say it mean it. After all, the phrase is not a declaration, it's a prayer. We are praying that God bestows His blessings on us.

As much as we all claim that we pray for our country, I don't think we really do. If 260 million Christians actually got on their knees every night and prayed for America -- or for anything, really -- I think we'd be living in a very different culture.

All that to say, please actually pray for our country tonight. The race won't be decided in Iowa, but the people of Iowa will decide whether to put us on a path to further tyranny and destruction, or not.

On the Democrat side, there aren't any good options. A vote for a Democrat is a vote for evil. The only question is whether it will be evil in the form of a radical Socialist or a proven crook and serial felon.

On the Republican side, there are a few potentially competent and principled leaders from which to choose, or they can choose tyranny. If the latter, we will be one step closer to a very dark time.

I really believe that if Clinton, Sanders, or Trump ends up in the White House, we could be facing the end of America as we know it. Some will point out that the end already arrived a while ago, and they could be right, but I think any of those three could deliver the final blow. It's quite possible that after 8 years of Clinton/Sanders/Trump, the American system will be irredeemably destroyed, whereas right now it's only mostly irredeemably destroyed.

So pray tonight and every other night. We do not deserve God's blessings in this country, but through His mercy and love, we are able to ask for the things we don't deserve. So ask.

Why do you need to pray to make things happen? Does God not care about someone's plight if you don't pray? Does he care more about things if more people pray about it? Why does someone have to pray? Wouldn't God already know these desires? Does praying to a God so that things happen even make sense? For instance, if your soul is already guaranteed heaven as long as you believe (certain thing) then what would be the point of God awarding such earthly things?

Well you see Jesus said "Render on to Ceaser what is Ceaser's" Ceaser here being the government, more importantly the federal government. As we all know the federal government doesn't deserve anything so Jesus is telling people not to give the government anything. Basically Jesus was advocating for state rights :beck:

These people are so up their own rear end in a top hat.

Those "lazy" kids who don't shovel driveways anymore, who don't stand up to bullies, who always get a trophy, who need safe spaces, who are often some shade of brown, take notice of this kind of bullshit. It's not that Democrats have especially courted certain demographics, though I'm sure they do. It's just that I bet the bigger force is that Republicans have so thoroughly alienated growing parts of the population that they have effectively created are large number of life-long tacit democrats, an effect that could possibly last for generations.
