True. Rubio is really good at making a pessimistic message sound optimistic.

So is it like 12 Angry Men now with a bunch of people holding out at caucuses and debating each other, or are all the caucuses over and some precincts didn't know how to report the results

interesting looking at the results in cartogram form

i should find a normal map with cities and poo poo to figure out where things stand, but in general it seems like rubio won the biggest counties, trump won on the peripheries, and cruz had a broad swathe of support

steve king's endorsement might've helped cruz get all those little-rear end counties in the northwest

I just read up on county vs state delegates.

Why don't the precinct votes directly determine state delegates? Elections for governor, senator, and president are all based on raw state totals.

Because Iowans get off on the rest of the country having to spend months poring over their dumb voting rules.

In all serious though, that is both hosed up and the only solution I can imagine to a tie like that.

This result owns so loving much, on the Republican side. It means that Trump will be highly underrepresented in the political futures markets, even though he's clearly going to sweep the next few primaries.

Well, you could split all the "tie" delegates evenly between the participating candidates, with only the remainder being allocated randomly.
