I was the biggest Sonic fan when I was a kid, but that was in the early to mid 90's when he was massively popular and new (and fortunately before the internet took off). I just really liked the games and the comics. The most awkward Sonic-related thing I did was in 1995 when I convinced my dad that my Sonic pyjamas were proper clothes (he and my mum were separated) and I got to go to a theme park wearing them.
