I'm guessing the reason you have to tie the Nintendo Account into your NNID is because the 3DS and Wii U were set up with the NNID in mind and Nintendo just didn't think it was worth it to overhaul all that. I'm betting the NX will streamline things much more nicely.

Yeah chances are your NNID won't be used at all on NX. But this is Nintendo so who knows maybe you'll have two NNIDs per NX and need a special dongle to transfer them.

If I remember correctly it's usually more expensive than or the same price as RE5. I haven't played it since it launched on GC and I've been waiting for Steam to hit the sweet price point (and my free time to allow me to play it!).

The El Gigantes drop like 15,000 gold so it's not like you're losing much money or anything. It's not something I'd recommend someone to do on a first playthrough but it's handy if you're replaying and don't wanna deal with them. The game gives you more than enough money through enemies/treasures etc that you can afford to skip basically every boss if you really want to
