I think it's because the side profile of the center torso is so large and I keep trying to torso twist to spread out damage which instead just focuses all the damage in my large crab nose. The marauder wiggle will probably serve you better.

Has there ever been any discussion on making it so you could loan out mechs? Would be awesome for getting friends into the game. Doesn't have to be fancy. Just make it so they can't edit the mech and you can't use it while they have it. Give either player the ability to give it back whenever. Doesn't seem like it would cause any major issues and would probably increase the population by a lot.

GRF-3M comes with an XL engine installed, thus bumping its cbill cost up a bit. IIRC the basic build is 4x ASRM4, 2x MLas (you can probably fit MPLas instead). Keep an arm free, so you can twist. I sold it after I mastered it, but I kept my 2n which has about the same armament but with ECM

I love the 4 machine-gun Huginn and hope they put out that 12 machine gun mech (Piranha?). Machine guns. I want all of them. Also a shout out to the goon group tonight in quick-drop. We rolled a lot of pubs, got rolled a few times ourselves, and kept on trucking. Just about every map evolved (devolved?) into a wonderful murder-brawl. Good times.

This is what I do with it, roughly GRF-3M run around enemies counterclockwise so you can keep your left side to them after you twist. twist all over the place. chase down and murder assaults. go fast

Just had a match on Frozen City where I circled around in a Huginn and KO'd two Dire Wolves by standing behind them and alpha-ing SRMA12 three times into each of their butts. One right after the other, standing in a group with a couple other guys. Neither moved, nobody shot at me. Admittedly they were trading shots with other people on my team at the time, but man it was still pretty sad.

Seriously, i see SO MUCH useless unlocking while spectating, its painful to watch people miss an atlas left and right because they want to be pro. I know im not that good, so i dont do it, and the vast majority of my salvoes takes a splitsecond longer to aim but hits dead center. This gets me almost as mad as the last-man-standing light mechs that start to torso twist in the middle of 6 people.

So the MAD-5M with 2 UAC/5s and 4MPLs isn't really doing it for me. Just not sexy enough. Something about bracket builds and stuff. Anyone have some good alternative builds given you're pretty gimped on the torso slots vs the 5D or 3R? Sticking an AC/20 in there makes my eyes twitch a bit and having low slung LPLs just seems bad. Anyone tried anything else?

Especially compared to the arms of 90% of the IS mechs. Im running this for fun at the moment, trying out new things in my trusty rauders: Laserauder For the 5M move the torso-laser into the arm.

Like, I was never explicitly taught about the radial damage indicator, but it just clicked intuitively since its the same as other games. Are pubbies (and a huge amount of goons) really that tunnel visioned/dumb? I have trouble believing this is most people's first fps.

How does the matchmaker assemble teams in the solo queue these days? It clearly isn't enforcing the old 3-per-weight-class thing, so does it balance teams by total tonnage? Basically I want to know if the same incentive to bring a heaviest-in-class mech still exists or if I can run a Cicada or whatever without feeling like a drain on the team.
