lampey posted:. this is pretty small time. wife and I bought a business doing resuscitation training and sales of resus equipment. the previous owners never focussed to much on the sales but it seems like it could do with a boost to be clear, the entirety of the business is probably less than a full time job for one person as it stands. maybe one day it'll be more, its more than it offers flexibility into our life rather than a way to get rich but the money off the trainings is pretty good and at $600 profit per AED sold its not unhelpful to one or two a month. not huge money here but just making life a bit easier etc. espec coz i lost my job and still need a new one

wanted: some form of video streaming package to provide http video content to a corporate intranet. Windows stack, cheaper the better. trying to avoid offsite storage. Any ideas? The Goog is singularly unhelpful on this question.

pdf files are non-standard pieces of poo poo, layers edition we use pdfs a lot and up until now we had two work with two seperate sets (bilingual reqs) which is somewhat unwieldy, especially since they're just as likely to be viewed on a screen or printed i've been playing around with layers in indesign: a pair of interactive object toggle visibility between languages, and the *noprint layers are prevented from printing via "never prints" so margins are respected trip report: this works wonderfully with adobe reader/pro 6+ but my results are all over the loving place with other readers & browsers ie seems to support everything correctly including the "open as 2 page scrolling view" flag. i'm in a weird place right now, praising ie fails to use the interactive objects so it's stuck in english, it respects the "never prints" flags but not the "print when visible" ones (so i end up with both language's content in b/w in an overlay) safari straight up nopes the gently caress out firefox & the default osx reader don't understand layers and just mash everything in a beautiful clusterfuck at half transparency how hosed am i for having brought this up to the attention of my coworkers, ie is there a way to either make the layers compliant to everything + provision a graceful degrade for the rest or should we just scrap this? starting to think that single-page website "documents" might work better, but those come with a whole other set of fuckery surebet fucked around with this message at 00:44 on Feb 10, 2016 |
