There was an excellent response to this which boiled down to "Feminism has to be about more than just a simple monotone oorah go women, and the fact that Bernie Sanders- a white man- might actually be a better candidate for a lot of women is a stunning victory for feminism"

Rubio's a dork who's just in way way over his head and he's only just now realizing it. When he first hit the national scene in 2010 the Republicans pushed him as their next golden boy like there was no tomorrow pretty much solely on the basis of his being young/attractive/a minority. The problem is that he's just not very good at most aspects of the job, and his big push ended up largely fizzling when Hispanics failed to flock to the right (plus his numerous bizarre gaffes). I'm sure he's had staffers blowing smoke up his rear end the entire time though, and now he's finding out that maybe he isn't as great as he thought he was. It's kinda like those dudes that earn blackbelts at their local strip mall dojo and go off to fight in MMA only to get their heads beat in cause they've never actually had anyone fight back before.

EDIT: I should probably explain; The Bernie campaign has had a hard time reigning in people who go and say really dumb stuff about Hillary that amounts to essentially just the same poo poo the GOP peddles.
