I throw a grenade at it, blow up the cover, and suddenly lose line of sight on the Sectoid. Is that really a bug? It's like the guy was leaning on a bunch of potted plants being all grr i hate you and you blow it up and he leans into the building he's at. Actually I just wanted someone to explain how corner cover works because I really can't remember other than knowing there's only always one plane active at once.

I guess it's debatable whether it's a bug or not, but either way it's kind of silly. It's more like the Sectoid is leaning around the corner going "grr I hate you" and then I blow up the wall he's leaning out from, so he stands up straight and my squad forgets that he's there because you don't get object permanence at Squaddie rank.

In the final room of the game, has anyone had their graphics flip the gently caress out? My game was flashing all sorts of different colours all over the screen to the point that I couldn't even tell where enemies were half the time, and it was causing me pain to look. I thought my graphics card was dying but I tried running some other games and all is fine.

need to skulljack a codex. next mission a pod with codex is just in range of my move speed specialist. rush in and the fucker with my very first action. also activate 2 other nearby pods, and get to meet god. mission ends and the specialist that skullfucked the codex is the only one alive, and completely uninjured.

Son of a gently caress, my Heavylike was oneshot by an Archon jabbing a dumb pokestick into his right forearm. This is a guy who bellowed like a drunk, got panicked and ran to better cover with no reveals and took killshots several times, waded through a fire for I swear two turns until evac and only had light wounds, and was most noticeable by his absurdly bright blue ski mask that made him look exactly like a Payday character in ridiculous Mass Effect tie-in DLC. fake edit: you cannot tell me that New Mutons are not krogans or that Androwhatevers are not big daddies

Achievements spoiled whether I was going to succeed an attack an absurd number of times during my playthrough. It's not the biggest deal or anything but it's still a little weird. I just shot the final boss with a shot that was definitely not going to kill them, and the "You beat the game" achievement popped up immediately after I clicked to fire. Superior repeater proc'd it turned out.

If a guy runs in to attack a Blademaster Ranger but Blademaster rolls a miss then the enemies attack goes first for some reason.

Just beat the final level on Veteran. Almost flawless'd the entire thing. Only damage I took was the Commander getting lit on fire by an random console exploding. Was fun, but I'll wait for the inevitable expansion pack before doing another campaign at higher difficulties.

Stealth bombing alien facilities with a single Ranger is so much fun. I got to the objective, and on the enemy turn a pod of an Advent Officer, Shieldbearer and Stun Lancer patrolled into me, removing my concealment, and activating a Sectopod, 2 more Advent Troopers, 2 Archons and a Gatekeeper. So in the midst of all that chaos, I had my Ranger blue move to the objective, set the charges, grapple hook up to a ledge in the room (activating yet another pod), drop the extraction volume, and Wraith out through the wall to it with his gold move. Later, fuckers. Enjoy your explosion.

I just did the story blacksite. Moved everyone to the extraction point as my ranger went in to get the vial. Mobs drop reinforcements right on top of my guys, so i thought, no problems, overwatch and ill be good. 3 mobs dropped, guess how many got killed on overwatch? 0 My ranger ended up coming back up and cleaning up. god drat

Apparently if you use a grenade to blow up some cover you're currently using it can cause your guys to get stuck on the tile they're standing on. I just had one of my grenadiers launch a grenade at their own feet and that got her unstuck.
