So here's a weird question I first thought about during the 2008 election of the Socialist Muslim Kenyan Devil Obama that's crossing my mind again because candidates like Trump and Clinton are so divisive and so vehemently despised by small groups without and within their parties: what the heck happens if a candidate for office is assassinated during the election? Does their running mate step in? Is there any official process for what's supposed to happen?

It's kind of an interesting scenario to consider, especially in terms of how it would affect voters and voting.

In all honesty, a lot of the housing bubble was fueled by policy and regulator changes done under the Federal Reserve and the SEC.

The Kansas Supreme Court ruled almost two years ago that the state was breaching its mandatory duty to fully fund public schools. Plaintiffs in a lawsuit at that time said the state was under-funding education by at least $129.1 million for the year.

Republican Governor Sam Brownback and the legislature argued that lawmakers, not the courts, should establish public school funding levels. Some Democrats and other critics have said public school students are paying the price for tax cuts approved in recent years.

Brownback's office did not immediately respond with comment on Thursday's state Supreme Court ruling.

The Supreme Court ruling upholds a state court of appeals finding in favor of four school districts who argued that the block grant system of funding worked to the disadvantage of poor or under-achieving students.

The state Supreme Court held that lawmakers have relied on "wealth-based" disparities to deny certain districts money to which they were entitled.

This applies to all sorts of things to be honest. Innocuous cereal commercials, multilingual Coke ads, a loving graham cracker ad with two dads in it, the list goes on.

Of course their open bigotry always ends up being the evil advertiser's fault (or Obama's) for "dividing America" and never an opportunity for self reflection about why your kids don't want to talk to you or be seen with you in public.
